Over 19% of women in Louisiana suffer from depression during<br />
pregnancy <strong>and</strong>/or during the baby's first year. Women with perinatal<br />
depression are more likely to deliver prematurely <strong>and</strong> have<br />
difficulty functioning as mothers <strong>and</strong> partners. Their infants score<br />
lower on developmental scales <strong>and</strong> often have attachment impairments.<br />
Attend this workshop to learn how to readily identify perinatal<br />
depression <strong>and</strong> to underst<strong>and</strong> key concepts <strong>for</strong> diagnosis<br />
