Over 19% of women in Louisiana suffer from depression during
pregnancy and/or during the baby's first year. Women with perinatal
depression are more likely to deliver prematurely and have
difficulty functioning as mothers and partners. Their infants score
lower on developmental scales and often have attachment impairments.
Attend this workshop to learn how to readily identify perinatal
depression and to understand key concepts for diagnosis
