KEMP Virtual Load Balancing VLM-1000 Series
KEMP Virtual LoadMaster VLM-1000
The VLM-1000 is a full KEMP LoadMaster, running in a virtualized environment. It can
handle up to 1000 SSL TPS and unlimited throughput. Available for Microsoft Hyper-V
and VMware.
The 'virtual appliance' (software) version of the award-winning LoadMaster family of
advanced server load balancing and application delivery optimization appliances.
Virtual LoadMaster installs and runs as a hardened, 'Guest' operating OS/Application on
a dedicated virtual machine. It provides the same features of the LoadMaster appliance
including L4 load balancing, L7 content switching, SSL Offload, Server and Application
Health Checking, IP and L7 Persistence, Caching, Compression, IPS and much more. It
also supports stateful Active/Hot-standby configuration between two VLMs for
redundancy and high-availability. All controlled by the same intuitive, easy-to-use Web
User Interface as the hardware-appliance version of the LoadMaster.
VLM-1000: Unlimited Throughput, max. 1000 SSL TPS, everything else unrestricted.
Actual performance will depend on allocated resources to Virtual Machine.

Every LoadMaster Server Load Balancing Appliance is delivered with a 1st year support
agreement at no additional cost. The basic support agreement provides 5 X 10 Live
Telephone Support, Unlimited e-mail support, Hardware replacement policy, Software
fixes and updates.
Upgrade 1 st Year Basic Support to Premium Support for VLM-1000
Every LoadMaster Server Load Balancing Appliance is delivered with a 1st year support
agreement at no additional cost. This part number serves an update for the 1st year for
Premium support. The premium support agreement provides 7 X 24 Live Telephone
Support Coverage, Unlimited e-mail support, Hardware replacement policy, Software
fixes and updates.
Additional 1 Year Premium Support Extension for VLM-1000
Requires purchase of "PREMIUM Upgrade" (p/n KEM-PU-VLM-1000) with initial
purchase of LoadMaster appliance. This part number requires an update for the 1st
year to Premium support and then brings you an additional 1 year of Premium support.
