Each month the
National office
sends an updated
member list to each chapter.
This list helps us in two
ways. It gives us a mailing
list for our chapter newsleers
out to members,
as well as gives us a gage
on how our membership
stats are looking. While the
Golden Gate Chapter may
not be the largest any more
(that distinction belongs
to the National Capital
Chapter), we are probably
the most geographically
dispersed. Being a visual
thinker, I decided to take
the list and use Microso
MapPoint to plot the location
on a map so I could see
for myself.
It was rather difficult to
see the entire map with any
detail because we spread
out so much that the map
area is quite large. This
page shows a close up
of the Bay Area member
locations. The list to the
le lists member counts by
state or country to give you
an idea where everyone is.
I will ask Brian Ghidinelli,
our webmaster, to
post more detailed maps
on the web site once the
new site is up and running
so you can see just how
many of your BMW-driving
neighbors also happen
to be CCA members. Look
for it on the web!
