GIA’s composers have had a tremendous burst of artistic energy, creating new Mass settings, as well as revising many of their classic publications—23 in all! These Masses truly “sing” the revised texts and represent a diverse range of musical styles, courtesy of talented composers who are at the pinnacle of their abilities. And that’s just the beginning: Composer Francis Patrick O’Brien has penned an inspiring and moving new musical, Can You Hear Me Now? (page 11), his first project in several years. A CD from the Taizé Community, Mane Nobiscum (page 12), features new music sung by young adults in the twelfth-century village church in Taizé, France. Ken Macek and Paul Tate bring us delightful contemporary introits for the Easter season, I Have Risen (page 12). Table of Contents Alice Parker’s extensive new collection of 150 songs, most in fourpart harmony, is affordable—and perfect for choirs and adventurous congregations (page 9). Tony Alonso and Marty Haugen collaborate on an exquisite new wedding collection, Arise My Love (page10), Lori True calls us to action with Let This Be the Time (page 10), and David Haas compels us with A Changed Heart (page 9).
