These attractive displays feature universal brake lines crafted from clear-coated stainless braided hose with chrome plated swivel ends and ship complete with an installation guide. The adapters and bolts are also chrome-plated steel. They are easy to install, present no alignment problems, and eliminate obsolescence. They were 3/8-24, commonly known as 10mm, and 7/16-24, commonly known as 12mm. All single line front models used a 7/16-24 thread on the master cylinder. 3/8-24 bolts are used everywhere else on all models through 2003. With the introduction of the 2004 XL (Sportster) models, things changed. XLH883, XLH883C, XL883L, XL1200L, XL1200C, XL1200N, XL50 models use 10mm x 1.25 thread on both the front and rear master cylinders and calipers. The XL883R and XL1200R use a 12mm x 1.5 thread on the front master cylinder and 10mm x1.25 on the rear master cylinder, and front and rear calipers. Only 2004 -2010 XL models use true metric bolts. 2003, and prior use standard Harley thread bolts. In 2006, all V-Rod models changed to 10mm x 1.0 thread pitch on the whole bike. Only 2006-2010 V-Rod models use true metric bolts. 2005, and prior models use standard Harley bolts. In 2008, all FLH/FLT Baggers changed to 10mm x 1.0 thread pitch on the whole bike. Only 2008-10 models use true metric bolts. 2007, and prior models use standard Harley bolts.
