Der Kanadische Kampfpanzer Leopard C1 in Deutschland 1977-1993<br />
Nach einer langwierigen Planungsphase beschloss das kanadische Heer die Beschaffung des Kampfpanzers Leopard C1,<br />
dessen Auslieferung ab 1978 begann, um die veralteten KPz Centurion zu ersetzen. Die Masse der neuen Panzer ging<br />
danach an die Sabre Squadrons des in Westdeutschland stationierten Regiments der kanadischen Panzertruppe und<br />
diente hier bis zu dessen Abzug im Jahre 1993. Die vorliegende Publikation erlaubt zu ersten Male einen intensiven Blick<br />
auf den Manövereinsatz des Leopard C1 und seiner Varianten im Deutschland des Kalten Krieges und beleuchtet die<br />
baulichen Besonderheiten dieser Leopard-Version detailliert mit zahlreichen bisher unveröffentlichten Fotos.<br />
After a long planning phase the Canadian Army decided to purchase the German Leopard 1 main battle tank in the C1<br />
version. From 1978 this new tank replaced the ageing Centurions and served in the sabre squadrons of the Canadian<br />
regiment deployed to West Germany up till the withdrawal of the Canadian units in 1993. This publication highlights the use<br />
of the C1 and its variants in the Germany of the Cold War with many exercise photographs and additional technical details of<br />
this unique Leopard version.<br />
