XF100 • XF105 HD 1920 x1080 4:2:2 CCD Camcorders
The XF100 and XF105 feature 50Mbps MPEG-2 4:2:2 recording of 1920
x 1080 HD video onto Compact Flash (CF) cards. They utilize filebased
MPEG-2 compression with an MXF File Wrapper to
ensure full compatibility with existing industry infrastructure,
metadata and non-linear editing systems. They are equipped
with Canon 10x (30.4-304mm equivalent) HD lens;
enable the easy set-up and capture of high-definition
3-D video when two XF100 or XF105’s are paired; and
have built-in infrared low-light enabling the capture of
HD video in complete darkness. Otherwise the same,
XF105 adds HD-SDI output, genlock, and SMPTEtime
code (I/O) terminals for multi-camera or 3-D productions.

HD 1920 x1080 4:2:2 3-CCD Camcorders
The XF300 and XF305 step up with three 1920 x1080
CMOS sensors and Canon 18x HD (29.3-527.4mm
equivalent) L-series lens and a full manual focus mode
with mechanical “hard” end stops and distance markers
for repeatable manual focus. HI-UD (high-index, ultra low
dispersion), UD and aspherical lens elements minimize
chromatic aberrations and provide a compact size and
weight to the lens – while also delivering a resolution of
1000 TV lines. The lens incorporates SuperRange Optical
Image Stabilizer (OIS) system with Dynamic and Powered
modes for optimal performance in any situation. Otherwise
the same, XF305 adds HD-SDI output, genlock, and
SMPTEtime code (I/O) terminals for multi-camera or 3-D productions.

Canon’s Cinema EOS System cameras each feature a Super 35mm-equivalent
8.29-megapixel CMOS sensor, use MPEG-2 Full HD compression, employ
4:2:2 color sampling, and have a maximum recording rate of 50
Mbps. Compact bodies offers exceptional maneuverability,
enabling shooting from vantage points all but inaccessible to
large cinema cameras.
• Ideal for beginning filmmakers working on a budget, the
C100 delivers full 1920 x 1080 HD video in the AVCHD format.
It has an EF mount and features a mobile core configuration that
allows users to add accessory parts according to their production needs.
• Stepping up, the EOS C300 is available in EF- and PL-mount versions and are equipped with four
start/stop buttons positioned at various locations to satisfy any preferred camera-holding style, and
can be outfitted with a host of accessories, including matte boxes, follow focuses and external video
and audio recorders. They can be also be outfitted with a handle, grip, thumb rest and monitor unit.
• EOS C500 and C500 PLs are 4K (4096 x 2160-pixel) cinema cameras –very important for motion
pictures that include scenes compositing live-action cinematography with high-resolution computergenerated
imagery. They output 4K resolution as a 10-bit uncompressed RAW data stream, as well as
quad full-HD (3840 x 2160), 2K (2048 x 1080), full HD (1920 x 1080), and other imaging options.

a breakthrough in hybrid HDSLR technology – able to record stills, 4K and
Full HD video, to either two on-board CF memory cards or time code
stamped, uncompressed Full HD to outboard recorders.
• 18.1MP full frame CMOS sensor lets you capture 4K, HD 1920 x 1080;
or 18-megapixel (5184 x 3456) still images. 4K is recorded as M-JPEG;

EF Cinema Lenses
Designed for 4K production, EF Cinema lenses surpass the
performance requirements of any HD system. Zoom lenses
achieve sharp, consistent images in virtually every shooting
situation. Geared inner focusing minimizes focus-induced
changes in the angle of view, reducing focus breathing virtually to zero. Each EF Cinema zoom or prime
lens shares uniform gear position, diameter and rotation angle as well as front lens diameters, enabling
the film crew to quickly change lenses without adjustment of the rig setup.

GY-HM70 ProHD Shoulder-supported Camcorder
Ideal for schools, as well as event and wedding videographers, the GY-HM70 is equipped with a 1/2” CMOS imager and JVC’s FALCONBRID
high-speed processor, to record 1920 x 1080p HD video (AVCHD format) at 28 Mbps as well as 1080/60i, and 480/60i (SD) footage at various bit rates to dual
SDHC/SDXC cards. It also allows high-speed recording for slow motion footage at 300 fps (720 x 480), and captures 12MP still images as well. The GY-HM70 is
equipped with a high quality 29.5mm wide-angle GT lens that offers smooth 16x dynamic zoom performance. It offers manual focus, iris, and shutter controls,
