But there were still more goodies--We also awarded each of
the advertisers, photographers, and contributing authors with
a ceramic replica of the November `09 issue of Escape Velocity
Magazine. More than 20 advertisers and almost as many
volunteers collaborate in one way or another to produce every
issue of our Heinmiller Award-Winning magazine. Although
new editor Craig Kempf of CK Communications wasn’t available
to join us for the evening, we’re all quite excited to see the
improvements his professionalism will bring to the magazine.

Jonathan Parker introduced the candidates for election: President--Ralph
Fritsche; Vice President--David O’Neal; Secretary--John
“Blake” Blakely; Treasurer--Kirk Stowers. There
were no other candidates and the group was approved by
acclamation. Parker also informed the group that there had
been insufficient time to complete the process of reviewing
the bylaws to determine if any changes were needed, so there
was no further business to be conducted.
Ralph returned to the podium to introduce his appointed
officials for 2010, including: Vice President--David O’Neal,
Secretary--Blake Blakely, Treasurer--Kirk Stowers, Events
Chair--Steve Hoffman, Membership Officer--Brian Reinert;
Newsletter Editor--Craig Kempf, Advertising Manager--Jack
Roberts, Webmaster--Jonathan Parker, Sponsorship--Tom
Gorsuch; Safety Chair--Ron Menck, Drive & Dine--Andra
Martineau, North Region Coordinator--Mike Masters and
South Region Coordinator--David Kelly.
There being no more goodies to be had and no seconds on
dessert offered, the crowd began to thin, leaving plenty of
room on the dance floor and at the bar for those not yet inclined
to call it a year. But before too long, even they decided
to go home and rest up, `cause there is no end to the club
activities planned for 2010 including a monthly “Dine and
Drive” and a new and much closer autocross site. More on
