Assault
December 2, 3:25 p.m., 6320
Golden Triangle Drive, a housekeeper
at the Residence Inn reported
that she was cleaning a
hotel room when she saw a man
standing in the doorway of the
room. He allegedly acted as
though he was staying in the
room and at one point asked her
if she wanted to take a shower
with him. The housekeeper then
called the front desk, at which
time the man grabbed her by the
wrists and pulled her to the bed.
She was able to fight him off and
he fled the scene. He is described
as a black male in his thirties,
5’10”, 160 pounds with
black hair and a light complexion,
wearing a black baseball
type hat with the letters NY in
white, a blue long sleeve shirt
with a gray short sleeve Nike shirt
over it, blue jeans and two tone
shoes.
December 4, 2:25 p.m., Buddy
Attick Park, a woman reported
that she was walking on the lake
trail when she became involved in
a verbal altercation with a man
over walking on the wrong side
of the trail. The man then
walked by the woman, striking
her with his shoulder in the process.
He is described as a white
male 60 years of age, 6’1”, 180
pounds with blue eyes and silver
hair, wearing tennis shoes and a
navy blue jogging suit with a
hood.
False Imprisonment
December 5, 1:41 a.m.,
Kenilworth Avenue and Crescent
Road, a resident and a nonresident
man were arrested and
charged with false imprisonment
and assault. An officer was
waved down by the victims, who
advised that earlier in the
evening the victims and the two
men were talking inside a vehicle
belonging to one of the
men in Oxon Hill. They all fled
the scene in the vehicle after an
alleged altercation with other
people. Both victims asked to be
let out of the vehicle, but the
men refused, driving until the vehicle
broke down on Kenilworth
Avenue. When the victims attempted
to flee the scene on foot,
one was grabbed by her jacket in
an attempt to restrain her and the
other was grabbed around the
throat. Both victims were able to
break free and flag down a
Greenbelt police officer. The resident
was arrested on the scene and
the nonresident was located and
arrested in the 6300 block of Ivy
Lane. Both were released to the
department of corrections for a
hearing before a District Court
Commissioner.
Robbery
December 5, 9:34 p.m., 9100
block Springhill Lane, a man reported
that he was about to enter
his apartment when he was approached
from behind by two
men, one of whom produced a
handgun and announced a robbery.
The man was forced into
his apartment and tied up while
the alleged robbers ransacked the
residence, taking money. He was
also threatened with a knife and
sustained a minor cut. The suspects
fled the scene and the victim
freed himself and contacted
police. The suspects are described
as two Latino males, one
with a light complexion and the
other with a dark complexion.
December 6, 11:56 a.m., 7515
Greenbelt Road, a teller at the
Chevy Chase Bank reported that
a man entered the bank and
passed a note to the teller announcing
a robbery. No weapon
was displayed and after obtaining
an undisclosed amount of money
the man fled the scene on foot,
possibly in an easterly direction.
The suspect is described as a
black male, 20 to 30 years of
age, 5’10”, last seen wearing a
skull cap and a dark colored
jacket.
December 6, 8:32 p.m., 5800
block Cherrywood Lane, a man
reported that he was approached
in the parking lot by two juveniles.
One pointed a handgun at
him and announced a robbery.
The second pushed him to the
ground and took money from
him. A third observed the robbery
from a distance. All three
then fled the scene on foot.
They are described as a black
male approximately 16 years of
age, 5’10”, 120 pounds with a
medium complexion, wearing a
light colored jacket and dark
jeans; a black male approximately
16 years of age, 5’8”, 120
pounds wearing dark clothing;
and a black female juvenile, 5’5”,
120 pounds wearing a pink jacket
and light colored jeans.
December 7, 11:45 p.m.,
Greenway Center, a manager at
Jasper’s Restaurant reported that
he was in the manager’s office
when a man entered the office
and closed the door behind him.
He then produced a handgun and
announced a robbery. After obtaining
an undisclosed amount of
money the man tied up the manager
and fled the restaurant. The
manager was not injured. The
suspect is described as a black
male 25 to 30 years of age with
a dark complexion, 5’11” to 6’2”,
150 to 190 pounds with black
hair, brown eyes, a beard and a
mustache, wearing a black knit
cap with white trim, a long black
jacket, black pants and black
shoes.
December 10, in reference to a
robbery reported October 3 in the
5900 block of Cherrywood Terrace,
an arrest warrant has been
obtained charging a nonresident
man with armed robbery, use of a
handgun in a violent crime, first
degree assault and second degree
assault.

robbery reported September 5 in
the 5900 block of Cherrywood
Terrace, an arrest warrant has been
obtained charging a nonresident
man with robbery and assault.
Weapons
December 3, 12:33 p.m.,
Eleanor Roosevelt High School, a
nonresident youth was arrested for
concealed deadly weapon on
school grounds after he was located
loitering inside the school.
As a school resource officer approached
him, the youth attempted
to conceal an item in his
pants pocket. He was found to be
in possession of a quantity of
suspected marijuana and a knife.
The youth was released to his
parents pending action by the
school board and the juvenile
justice system.
December 7, 10:00 p.m.,
Kenilworth Avenue and Ivy Lane,
a nonresident man was arrested
and charged with auto theft,
theft, unauthorized use of a motor
vehicle, three counts of possession
of firearms and ammunition
under the age of 21, possession
of a short-barreled shotgun
and several traffic citations. Police
stopped a vehicle for a registration
violation. A computer
check revealed that the tag did
not belong on the vehicle and
that the vehicle itself, a 1986
Buick Century, had been reported
stolen. Located in the
vehicle were shotgun shells, a
sawed-off shotgun and a .38 caliber
handgun. The man was released
to the department of corrections
for a hearing before a
District Court Commissioner.
Other occupants of the vehicle
were released pending further investigation.
DWI
December 8, 11:16 p.m.,
Edmonston Road at the ramp to
Kenilworth Avenue, a nonresident
man under the age of 21 was arrested
and charged with driving
while impaired, driving under
the influence and reckless driving
after being stopped for a
traffic violation. He was released
on citations pending trial.
December 9, 2:44 a.m.,
Greenbelt Road and Walker
Drive, a nonresident woman was
arrested and charged with driving
while impaired, driving under
the influence, reckless driving,
negligent driving and failure to
obey a traffic device after being
stopped for a traffic violation.
She was released on citations
pending trial.
Drugs
December 6, 12:00 p.m.,
Eleanor Roosevelt High School, a
resident man was arrested and
charged with possession of marijuana,
possession of paraphernalia,
gambling and disruption of
school activities. A resident and
a nonresident youth were arrested
for gambling and disruption of
school activities. A school administrator
observed the suspects
gambling in the cafeteria at the
school. The adult was found to
be in possession of a quantity of
suspected marijuana and paraphernalia
commonly used to ingest
marijuana. He was released
to the department of corrections
for a hearing before a District
Court commissioner. Both juveniles
were released pending action
by the school board and the
juvenile justice system.
December 8, 1:42 a.m.,
Breezewood Drive and Cherrywood
Lane, a nonresident man
was arrested and charged with
possession of marijuana after police
stopped a vehicle for a registration
violation. A computer
check revealed that a passenger
in the vehicle had an open warrant
with the Prince George’s
County Sheriff’s Department. Located
in the passenger seat area
was a quantity of suspected marijuana.
The man was released to
the department of corrections for
a hearing before a District Court
commissioner.
Unattended Child
December 4, 10:58 a.m., 7600
block Greenbelt Road, a resident
woman was arrested and charged
with leaving children unattended
in a motor vehicle. A vehicle
was observed illegally parked in
a handicapped parking space.
Police observed two infants, approximately
14 months of age,
alone in the vehicle. The
woman returned to her vehicle,
was arrested and released on citation
pending trial.
Disruption of School
December 7, 11:52 a.m.,
Eleanor Roosevelt High School, a
resident youth was arrested for
disruption of school activities,
underage possession of an alcoholic
beverage and resisting arrest.
Police observed the youth
using a cellular telephone in
violation of school board policy.
He refused to stop his use of the
cell phone and became combative.
He resisted attempts to arrest
him and was found to be in
possession of an alcoholic beverage.
The youth was released to
his parents pending action by
the school board and the juvenile
justice system.
Open Alcohol
December 3, 1:54 p.m., 5800
block Cherrywood Lane, a nonresident
man was arrested and
charged with open alcohol, disorderly
conduct and littering. Police,
patrolling the area looking
for several suspicious people
who had run from police a short
time earlier, stopped three people,
one who began shouting profanities.
The man continued to act
in a disorderly manner and had
to be forcibly placed into custody.
He was released to the department
of corrections for a
hearing before a District Court
commissioner.
Burglary
December 1, 7:30 p.m., 9000
block Breezewood Terrace, unknown
person(s) used unknown
means to enter a residence. A
camcorder and money were
taken.
December 2, 11:43 a.m., 6100
block Breezewood Drive, unknown
person(s) entered a residence
by way of an unlocked
sliding glass door. Clothing,
video game players, video games,
televisions and other electronics
were taken.
December 6, 4:31 p.m., 6000
block Springhill Drive, unknown
person(s) entered a residence by

person(s) entered a residence by
breaking out a dining room window.
Cans of loose change and

taken.
Vehicle Crimes
Six vehicles were stolen: a
1997 Plymouth Voyager van from
Beltway Plaza Mall; a green
1994 Honda Accord 2-door, Maryland
tags FXG811 from the
7900 block Lakecrest Drive; a
1987 Chevrolet pick up truck
from the 16 court Ridge Road; a
silver 2003 Mazda Protégé 4-
door, Maryland tags LTJ783 from
the 7200 block South Ora Court;
a dark blue 1991 Plymouth Voyager
van, Maryland tags
319M696 from the 6000 block
Springhill Drive; and a 2004
Infiniti G35X 4-door, from the
6600 block Springcrest Drive. The
vehicle was left running in front
of the driver’s residence.
Seven vehicles were recovered,
one by Greenbelt police
with an arrest and six by other
police departments with arrests
in two recoveries. In addition,
one set of stolen tags was recovered.
Vandalism to and thefts from
vehicles were reported in the following
areas: Beltway Plaza
Mall, 9100 block Edmonston
Court, 9100 block Edmonston
Road, 9300 block Edmonston
Road, Edmonston Terrace and
Breezewood Drive, 6500 block
Capitol Drive, 200 block
Lakeside Drive, 10 court
Southway, 8200 block Mandan
Court, 7500 block Mandan Road,
7600 block Mandan Road, 7800
block Mandan Road (two incidents)
and 7900 block Mandan
Road.
