Explore Writing
One’s Memoir
On Friday, April 12 at 1 p.m.
Rebecca Coleman will discuss
writing one’s memoir at Explorations
Unlimited.
She will talk about the unique
challenges of memoir-writing,
followed by a discussion of examples
from published memoirs
and analyzing with the audience
the different approaches taken
by different authors. Participants
will then use prompts to try their
own hand at it, sharing and discussing
a few examples of what
they wrote. The group will talk
about how to take it to the next
level – writing a “full” memoir,
whatever they perceive that to
be and how to publish it (or preserve
it) for themselves and their
posterity.
Explorations Unlimited is held
every Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. at
the Greenbelt Community Center.
This presentation will be held in
Room 114, the Senior Classroom.
All are welcome to attend and
questions are encouraged.
