ON CDs<br />
Our most recent companion CDs<br />
include new CD-ROM software<br />
that allows you to transpose to any<br />
key and change the tempo. You can<br />
even change the tempo without<br />
changing the pitch. This means<br />
that the key or tempo of accompaniment<br />
tracks on these enhanced<br />
CDs, when played in a computer as<br />
a CD-ROM, can be adjusted for an<br />
individual singer’s needs.<br />
This CD-ROM software, the<br />
Amazing Slow Downer, was originally<br />
created for use in pop music,<br />
but we have adapted it for classical<br />
and theatre use. It is added without<br />
additional cost on recent companion<br />
CD releases. The transposing and<br />
tempo adjustment features work only<br />
when using these enhanced CDs<br />
in a computer, as a CD-ROM. The<br />
CDs also can be played on any conventional<br />
CD player.<br />
