• Interpr<strong>of</strong>essional education in palliative care –<br />
development <strong>of</strong> total pain module: work with Dr. Pippa<br />
Hall at SCOHS<br />
• Undergraduate student needs related to palliative care-<br />
completed survey <strong>of</strong> 4 th year students with Dr. Susan<br />
Brajtman.<br />
• <strong>Faculty</strong> needs related to palliative care- ongoing with<br />
Susan Brajtman<br />
• Quality <strong>of</strong> life <strong>of</strong> palliative care patients and carers-<br />
work with Dr. Robin Cohen, McGill University<br />

Thesis students<br />
• Have had 12 MScN students- mostly conducting<br />
qualitative research especially phenomenology<br />
• Covered topics such as experiences <strong>of</strong> elderly women<br />
post- MI, patient experiences in the ER, being a<br />
trauma nurse.<br />
• Member <strong>of</strong> the Strategic training program for Palliative<br />
Care researchers: consortium McGill, Laval, U <strong>of</strong> O.<br />
Currently mentoring student funded in this program<br />
• Assisted SCOHS in the development <strong>of</strong> the first<br />
fellowship in Palliative Care Nursing. Several students<br />
received funding through this fellowship.<br />
