THE COMPANY
FREDDIE TRUMPER
MATT GREENBANK
Matt has performed in shows since the age of seven.
He joined the Hitchin Thespians in 2003 and has taken
part on or backstage in every show since. Matt has
played a number of lead roles, including Riff in ‘West
Side Story’, and Benjamin in ‘Seven Brides For Seven
Brothers’. Elsewhere, Matt has been involved in both
plays and musicals but his favourite parts have been
Daniel Mendoza in ‘Jack The Ripper - The Musical’,
Daniel Shellmedine in ‘The Safari Party’ and the Voice
of the Plant in ‘Little Shop of Horrors’.
In his spare time Matt is an acoustic guitarist and
aspires to become a professional singer/songwriter.
He has wanted to perform in Chess for many years
and is very much looking forward to playing the vocally
challenging role of the American.
ANATOLY SERGIEVSKY
TOM EVANS
Tom’s first principal performance was at the tender age
of nine, playing the lead in a school production of
‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicoloured Dreamcoat’.
Since then he’s probably done at least one show per
year and sometimes as many as six! Since moving to
Hertfordshire in the 1980s, many of those shows have
been with Hitchin Thespians. Tom’s favourite, and most
challenging role to date, was as Doctor Jekyll and Mr
Hyde in our recent award winning production of the
same name. But, up there at the top of his list is the
part of The Russian in ‘Chess’ which he is delighted to
be performing this evening. By day Tom is headteacher
of Martins Wood Primary School in Stevenage.
