Guidance on how to comply with the <strong>Safety</strong>, <strong>Health</strong> <strong>and</strong><br />

Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007.<br />

This Guidance is intended to provide practical guidelines to help workers<br />

<strong>and</strong> employers in the music <strong>and</strong> entertainment sectors to protect their<br />

hearing <strong>and</strong> meet their legal obligations. <strong>The</strong>se obligations are laid down<br />

in the <strong>Safety</strong>, <strong>Health</strong> <strong>and</strong> Welfare at Work (General Application)<br />

Regulations 2007 (S.I. No. 299 <strong>of</strong> 2007) as amended by the <strong>Safety</strong>, <strong>Health</strong><br />

<strong>and</strong> Welfare at Work (General Application) (Amendment) Regulations<br />

2007 (S.I. No. 732 <strong>of</strong> 2007) relating to the control <strong>of</strong> noise at work;<br />

hereinafter referred to as the <strong>Noise</strong> Regulations.<br />

This Guidance supersedes ‘A Guide to Exposure to <strong>Noise</strong> in the<br />

Entertainment Industry’, which is hereby revoked.
