Language workshop – 1x2hrs.
Tutorial – 1x1hr.
Building on the language sections of German IIISA, this course aims to expand students' German
competence and refine their skills in written and oral communication on more complex topics. It also
aims to enhance students' structural understanding through the use of authentic texts that focus on
aspects of contemporary society in German-speaking countries and promote analysis and discussion
at a more advanced level.
Language instruction consists of one two-hour language workshop per week Wednesday 9.10-11 and
one weekly tutorial in small groups. Tutorials are Wednesday 1.10-2 or Thursday 1.10-2.

You need to have 1) Lehrbuch 2) Arbeitsbuch
Students are encouraged to acquire the latest edition of Collins German Dictionary (Collins) if they
have not already done so.
ASSESSMENT
Homework, mid-semester test, end-of-semester test, tutorial participation, vocab tests and an oral.
