Dear resident, This strategy has been devised in partnership with residents, for residents. In fact, more than 1,000 residents across The Hyde Group were directly involved in developing this strategy, and others across the organisation have also been consulted. Staff too have played their part in devising new ways to make the business more responsive to residents’ needs and priorities. Working together, residents and staff can ensure that excellent services are provided across The Hyde Group. Residents should always be able to scrutinise Hyde’s services and see clear lines of accountability and communication. Getting this right will help the organisation to grow so that it can help even more people living in affordable housing. Resident Engagement at Hyde offers a wide range of opportunities for resident involvement and influence. Our objectives are to remove barriers to engagement, to provide guidance, to improve communication and to offer a value for money service to residents. Residents’ views are at the heart of the organisation, but we recognise that residents need support, training and skills to engage effectively. By taking part in training, residents will have the confidence and opportunity to participate at any level. Thank you for all your valuable feedback and support. You have indeed helped to shape our strategy. By increasing opportunities and removing barriers to engagement, Hyde will make a lasting difference to all residents’ lives.
