IAN ANNUAL REPORT 2012<br />

Educational Department (or IAN Telecentar) (www.ian.org.rs/education) was established<br />

within IAN in 2001. The aim of IAN Telecentar is to develop competencies required for<br />

active participation in the knowledge economy, for finding a new/better job and adjusting to<br />

the needs of labour market.<br />

Project description:<br />

Since 2010 with the support of IWC Charity IAN implements projects with a range of educative,<br />

practical trainings and job search workshops for women. Women included in the program are<br />

multiply vulnerable. The advantage is given to single mothers and women victims of violence. The<br />

project includes women from the territory of Belgrade and a part of activities are realised in the only<br />

women prison in the town of Pozarevac.<br />

Results in 2012:<br />

In 2012, 61 women have been included in the<br />

program and have finished the various trainings.<br />

They attended computer classes (35 in Belgrade<br />

and 26 in Pozarevac prison), while 21 of them<br />

acquired ECDL Start certificate and 40 of them<br />

IAN certificates. 12 women completed English<br />

language course. In addition, 25 women have<br />

finished job search training program (Job<br />

application and CV writing, Preparation for an<br />

interview with employer, Active Job searching,<br />

Presentation and communication skills) and have<br />

increased abilities to be active on the job market.<br />

Within this project women beneficiaries have<br />

attended also the web design courses and during<br />

the training program they have created bi-lingual web pages about the IWC Christmas Charity<br />

Bazaar for 2011 (www.ian.org.rs/iwcbazar2011) and for 2012 (www.ian.org.rs/iwcbazar2012).<br />

During and/or upon the end of the project 30% of women who entered the programme as<br />

unemployed found a job.<br />
