2.3.2 Modification to <strong>ATC</strong> Authorization<br />

Should an <strong>ATC</strong> wish to modify its existing <strong>ATC</strong> authorization by:<br />

Adding/removing an Authorized Course to a currently Authorized Program,<br />

Adding/removing an Authorized Program, or<br />

Adding/removing an Authorized Branch,<br />

The <strong>ATC</strong> will complete and submit the applicable <strong>ATC</strong> modification form for Additional Program,<br />

Course or Branch provided in Annex 1A and Annex 1B to this <strong>ATC</strong> <strong>Handbook</strong> and available for<br />

download on the <strong>ATC</strong> Resource Website.<br />

Modification to Authorized Programs and Branches will be made in accordance with<br />

section 6.3 of the <strong>ATC</strong> Accreditation Agreement. These changes which consist of adding or<br />

removing an Authorized Program or an Authorized Branch will be reflected in the “<strong>ATC</strong><br />

Amendment Schedule” which will replace the existing Schedule A attached to the <strong>ATC</strong><br />

Accreditation Agreement. The “<strong>ATC</strong> Amendment Schedule” template attached hereto as<br />

Annex 1B.<br />

Modification to Authorized Courses will be made in accordance with section 6.4 of the<br />

<strong>ATC</strong> Accreditation Agreement. These changes which consist of adding or removing an<br />

Authorized Course in a currently Authorized Program will be recorded in the <strong>ATC</strong> Course<br />

Registry.<br />

<strong>IATA</strong> will then issue a new <strong>ATC</strong> Certificate listing all Authorized Programs, Authorized Courses and<br />

Authorized Branches, and update the <strong>ATC</strong> Course Registry.<br />

Any such change shall only become effective once all conditions set forth in the <strong>ATC</strong> Accreditation<br />

Agreement will have been met.<br />

2.4 <strong>ATC</strong> STANDING AND PREMISES<br />

<strong>ATC</strong>s are required to:<br />

Demonstrate they are operating a recognized training institution, i.e., that training<br />

constitutes one of institution’s areas of business involvement.<br />

Have premises and classrooms at a fixed location. Maintain premises and classroom<br />

facilities at an acceptable standard.<br />

Demonstrate that premises are equipped with all tools and furniture needed to offer an<br />

environment that supports learning, including without limitation: hygienic toilet, canteen or lounge<br />

facilities for the use of the students during lunch breaks.<br />

<strong>ATC</strong>s are recommended to (but not obliged):<br />

Have and regularly maintain updated copies of the industry publications (tariffs and<br />

guides), as applicable, required for offering the Authorized Program and teaching the Authorized<br />

Courses.<br />

Have a commercial website and provide the website address to <strong>IATA</strong>.<br />
