Senior Faculty of IFFTI Member Institutions, who are selected to present papers at the Conference, will be
awarded scholarships of USD 2000.00 each. The evaluation process for these awards will be undertaken
by IFFTI.
Guidelines for IFFTI Initiatives
15. Junior Faculty Initiative. In this initiative, 3 Junior Faculty of IFFTI Member Institutions, who are
selected to present papers at the 2014 IFFTI Annual Conference, will be given following incentives by
IFFTI: -

A scholarship of USD 2000, and
Free registration for the Conference. Their registration fee will be paid by IFFTI.
16. To be eligible for this award the faculty should:–

Be at the beginning of their teaching careers, or
Those who are beginning to develop their teaching and research interest and profile.
17. Post Graduate / Research Students Initiative. Under this initiative, 2 Post Graduate/ Research
Students, whose papers are selected for presentation at the 2014 Conference, will be provided the same
incentives as the 3 Junior Faculty mentioned above.
18. To be eligible for this award, the student should be pursuing full time post graduate/ research
program at the institution.
19. Special Instructions. In addition to submitting the abstracts online, those aspiring for awards
under these initiatives are to also forward their abstracts to the Secretary, IFFTI by email at
ifftisec@yahoo.com together with the following information/ documents: -

(b) Institution
(c) Position and responsibility (in case of Junior Faculty)
(d) Confirmation that: –
(i)
(ii)
the paper has not been presented or published elsewhere.
He/ She has not availed this award earlier.
By the Head of Institution/ Department/ Other Appropriate Authority
(e) In the case of Junior Faculty. The applicant meets the criteria mentioned in para 2 above and
is eligible to be considered as Junior Faculty for the purpose of this initiative.
In the case of Post Graduate/ Research Student. The applicant is undergoing a full time Post Graduate/
Research Programme at the institution.
(f) The institution will support the applicant to travel to Tokyo to present the paper at the 2014 IFFTI
Annual Conference, if selected.
