Japanese Unit at<br />
Bower Hill<br />
Second grade students at Bower Hill completed their study of Japan with a chance to<br />
sample the cultures and cuisine of the country. With the help of many parent volunteers,<br />
the students sat on the floor and had the chance to sample rice, steamed vegetables, tea<br />
and other foods. They were encouraged to eat using chopstick and ate on placemats they<br />
had designed using Japanese themes.
