As part of the GrantRail Group, GrantRail Signalling<br />
Limited provides cost-effective signal engineering<br />
solutions, supporting many exciting and challenging<br />
rail projects throughout the UK.<br />
We are now looking to expand our existing design<br />
organisation in the following areas. All roles attract<br />
an excellent salary plus final salary pension scheme,<br />

The Head of Design and Design Manager roles also<br />
attract a Company Car.<br />
Based at our YORK office:<br />
■ HEAD OF DESIGN<br />
Reporting to the Signalling Business Manager, this<br />
key role is responsible for leading and managing<br />
all signalling design teams across our 3 design<br />
offices in York, Derby and Newport. The location<br />
is flexible although frequent travel between our<br />
sites is essential.<br />
A significant part of the role will be liaison with<br />
internal functions and external customers to<br />
ensure that we have the correct resource profile<br />
to deliver our on-going and future strategy<br />
commitments.<br />
■ DESIGN MANAGER<br />
Responsible for managing and leading our York design<br />
office, this senior role will ensure excellence in design<br />
engineering is achieved across a range of diverse<br />
projects. Capable of managing others to achieve<br />
deadlines and budgets, you will possess either a<br />
Design Manager or Principles Design <strong>IRSE</strong> licence,<br />
ideally with experience in a similar role.<br />
■ PRINCIPLES DESIGNERS/CHECKERS<br />
Essential requirements for this role include a thorough<br />
working knowledge of signalling design/checking<br />
procedures, signalling principles and practices.<br />
You will ideally have previous experience working on<br />
multi-disciplinary rail projects and hold an <strong>IRSE</strong><br />
Principles Design licence.<br />
Based at our NEWPORT & DERBY offices:<br />
We are looking to expand these teams by recruiting<br />
enthusiastic and talented Signalling Design Engineers<br />
in the following roles: ASSISTANT DESIGNERS,<br />
DESIGNERS, LEAD DESIGNERS, and PRINCIPLES<br />
DESIGNERS.<br />
You will need to possess a relevant <strong>IRSE</strong> licence and<br />
be able to work to deadlines within a proactive team<br />
environment.<br />
