Q. I purchased a permit last in September last year. How do I get a renewal?
A. Your existing permit is valid until 31st October. Details on how to renew your Permit will be
issued shortly.
Q. Why are you changing the expiry date for new and renewal permits?
A. We’re trying to have everyone’s permit expire on the same date. That way we’ll be able to
remind everyone to renew. Although most people’s currently expire on 31st October there’s still
quite a few that expire on other dates and there’s no way of reminding these people that their
permit is about to expire. We want to avoid situations where people get clamped because they
forgot to renew.
The reason for 30th September rather than any other month is that each year we’ll have new
incoming students and they’ll require a permit from 1st October on the year they start (if they
drive).
