Leigh Oliva ’82 Endowed Scholarship Fund – $17,892<br />

Established in 1992. This scholarship is to aid a deserving<br />

student requiring participation in the Language Program.<br />

Michael O’Rourke Memorial Scholarship Fund – $1,165<br />

An unrestricted scholarship fund established in memory of<br />

former employee, Michael O’Rourke.<br />

John Lloyd Owen Memorial Scholarship Fund – $24,571<br />

Established by Maryanne Mott and Herman E. Warsh in<br />

honor of John L. Owen, deceased former teacher and<br />

Faculty Dean.<br />

Pawling Township Fund – $47,526<br />

Scholarship to be used for a deserving young man.<br />

PepsiCo Foundation Scholarship Fund – $13,764<br />

Established for an academically qualifi ed, inner-city<br />

youth with limited fi nancial means wishing to attend<br />

Trinity-Pawling School.<br />

Edwin G. Reade, III and Maria Buteux Reade Squash<br />

Scholarship Fund – $10,883<br />

Established by David W. Hobbs ’82 and his family. This<br />

fund honors Ned and Maria Reade, faculty members with<br />

long service to the School as teachers and coaches. Income<br />

from this fund is to provide tuition assistance to deserving<br />

boys of limited fi nancial means who actively participate in<br />

Trinity-Pawling School’s squash program.<br />

Marlynn and William P. Scully ’57 Scholarship<br />

Fund – $793,005<br />

This fund was established by Marlynn and William P. Scully<br />

in the year 2007 in celebration of the fi ftieth reunion of the<br />

Class of 1957 and as a tribute to the centennial anniversary<br />

of the founding of Trinity-Pawling School. Scholarships<br />

are to be annually awarded to one or more students of<br />

good character who perform at an outstanding level both<br />

in the classroom and on the athletic fi eld, and who have<br />

documented fi nancial need. Recipients of the scholarship<br />

are to be selected by the Headmaster.<br />

Thomas Simpson Scholarship – $11,747<br />

Thomas Simpson was one of the earliest benefactors of the<br />

Pawling School, the predecessor of Trinity-Pawling School.<br />

This scholarship benefi ts boys of limited fi nancial means.<br />

Phillips Smith/Class of 1990 Scholarship Fund – $157,331<br />

Scholarship fund established in 1990 to commemorate<br />

Phillips Smith’s contributions to the School during his years<br />

as Headmaster of Trinity-Pawling.<br />

Michael B. Stabile ’97 Memorial Scholarship Fund – $60,092<br />

Established in Michael’s memory by family, classmates, and<br />

friends. Income from this fund provides scholarship assistance<br />

to one or more eligible candidates matriculating into Trinity-<br />

Pawling’s Language Program. This is a program that alleviates<br />

basic learning disabilities, giving the student the opportunity<br />

to realize a full range of academic potential through his<br />

college years.<br />

C. V. Starr Memorial Scholarship Fund – $1,140,203<br />

Established in 1980 to provide assistance to a student of<br />

choice on the basis of merit and need.<br />

Stempel Scholarship Fund – $263,219<br />

To be used as continuing support for student scholarships<br />

and fi nancial aid.<br />

Constance and David Tirrell Memorial Scholarship<br />

Fund – $126,413<br />

Established in 1977. Income to be used for scholarship<br />

assistance to one or more students as approved by the<br />

Headmaster and the Scholarship Committee.<br />

William H. Van Rensselaer ’54 Endowed Scholarship<br />

Fund – $131,737<br />

Established by the Van Rensselaer family. This scholarship<br />

is intended to benefi t students who are typically sponsored<br />

by the Boys’ Club.<br />

Maurice “Mo” Samuel Vaughn ’86 Scholarship<br />

Fund – $183,758<br />

Established in 1999 to benefi t students of color and of<br />

limited fi nancial means.<br />

DeWitt Wallace Reader’s Digest Scholarship<br />

Fund – $199,561<br />

Established in 1973. Income to be used exclusively for<br />

scholarship assistance to sophomores, juniors, and seniors,<br />

preferably for partial scholarships.
