• <strong>Belize</strong> has a very long history of democracy, peace<br />
and stability. In <strong>the</strong> year of 1862 <strong>Belize</strong> became British<br />
Crown Colony and achieved complete independence<br />
in 1981. <strong>Belize</strong> is a member of United Nations, British<br />
Commonwealth and Non-Aligned Movement. Cabinet<br />
exercises <strong>the</strong> executive authority under <strong>the</strong> leadership<br />
of PM, which is subjected to approval by a twentyeight<br />
member Senate, its majority is recommended<br />
by <strong>the</strong> PM. <strong>Belize</strong> has two political parties, with both<br />
committed towards <strong>the</strong> economic development and<br />
encouragement of investment coming from overseas.
