GeoFORCE Texas Honored<br />

with Silver Star<br />

Monte King (Manager <strong>of</strong> Workforce Development, Shell Oil Company) and Marshall Schott<br />

(Assistant VP, Instructional Support and Outreach, University <strong>of</strong> Houston), Co-Chairmen <strong>of</strong><br />

the Energy Collaborative Workforce Committee <strong>of</strong> the Greater Houston Partnership, presented<br />

GeoFORCE Texas the Silver Star.<br />

This award recognizes outstanding performance by programs that are part <strong>of</strong> the Partnership’s<br />

portfolio <strong>of</strong> priority initiatives. ExxonMobil and Mike Loudin, manager, global geoscience<br />

recruiting at ExxonMobil, also received a Silver Star for their role in bringing GeoFORCE<br />

to the Houston region. This award acknowledges all the hard work and effort put forth by the<br />

GeoFORCE staff (including Doug Ratcliff, Julie Spink, Cristina Rodriguez, Danielle Horton,<br />

Edgar Garza, Justin Hance, Jessica Gordon, Liliana Martinez, and Heidi Penix).<br />

A private, non-pr<strong>of</strong>it organization, the Greater Houston Partnership is the primary advocate<br />

<strong>of</strong> Houston’s business community, dedicated to building regional economic prosperity.
