passive and active safety systems help to avoid accidents as well
as protecting you during one have been included helping to
ensure every drive you take, is a safe one.

Active Safety – Everything designed to

01. Traction Control (EDL, ASR and ESP) and
BrakingControl (Brake Assist, ABS and EBD)
Traction control helps to ensure that you maintain control of your
vehicle even in difficult driving situations. Built around three
distinctive functions, Electronic Stabilisation Program (ESP),
Electronic Differential Lock (EDL) and Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR),
Traction Control improves grip, helps prevent wheel spin and
adjusts engine power automatically depending on the conditions.
Passive Safety – Protecting occupants from
injury, and reducing the impact of collisions.
02. Airbags
The Touareg comes standard with nine airbags; twin front,
side, rear seat side, driver’s knee and full length curtain airbags.
Combined with your seatbelts, airbags help to reduce the risk of
severe head and chest injuries during collisions.
