Network for producing more wheat
With the aim of increasing the productivity of wheat cultivation, Bayer CropScience maintains
a global network of research co-operations. The members of this network include,
among others, Evogene (Israel), the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research
Organization CSIRO (Australia), the University of Nebraska in Lincoln (USA)
and the National Agriculture Research and Development Institute (Romania).
Beyond this, Bayer CropScience has also acquired the seed companies
SORT and EUROSORT (both in the Ukraine) and works together with
RAGT Semences (France). The first new wheat varieties to result from
these partnerships are expected to enter the market by 2015.
