Campus. Each class member was presented with a<br />

Half-Century Society Medallion.<br />

■ The Class <strong>of</strong> 1980 gathered at the Montrose Mansion at the<br />

<strong>Villanova</strong> Conference Center for <strong>its</strong> Silver Anniversary<br />

celebration.<br />

■ The Class <strong>of</strong> 1995 was welcomed back for <strong>its</strong> 10-Year Reunion<br />

reception in the Dundale Mansion on the West Campus.<br />

■ Meanwhile, Bartley Hall was lively and warm with<br />

individual class receptions for <strong>graduates</strong> from 1940, ’45, ’50,<br />

’60, ’65, ’70, ’75, ’85 and ’90.<br />

Saturday morning brought another great day for the returning<br />

Wildcats and their fans. Not only was it filled with beautiful<br />

weather, but memorable events as well, starting with the Alumni<br />

Memorial Mass, celebrated in the Corr Hall Chapel. Then,<br />

after a scrumptious buffet breakfast served up in St. Mary’s<br />

Hall Dining Hall, alumni could catch campus shuttle tours that<br />

departed on the half-hour from Klekotka Hall. Alumni with<br />

a son or daughter considering attending <strong>Villanova</strong> headed<br />

for a presentation by the Office <strong>of</strong> Admission staff in the<br />

Connelly Center Cinema. Later that morning, the Black Cultural<br />

Society/Black Student League hosted a reception in the<br />

Connelly Center.<br />

Each <strong>of</strong> <strong>Villanova</strong>’s four colleges then held an hour-long<br />

open house. Arts and Sciences alumni met in the Gallen<br />

Lecture Hall in the Mendel Science Center. Commerce and<br />

Finance <strong>graduates</strong> gathered in the Founders Lobby <strong>of</strong> Bartley<br />

Hall. Engineering alums convened in CEER (The Center for<br />

Engineering Education and Research). The open house for<br />

Nursing <strong>graduates</strong> took place in the St. Augustine Center.<br />

Graduates <strong>of</strong> 1954 and earlier and their guests were invited<br />

to the Top ’Cat Luncheon in the Connelly Center’s Radnor/<br />

St. David’s Room. The honorees were the classes <strong>of</strong> 1940,<br />

1945 and 1950, with a record 75 in attendance.<br />

Saturday afternoon brought everyone together for a more<br />

informal, yet still traditional event: Reunion Family Picnic on<br />

Austin Field. <strong>Villanova</strong> Radio Alumni and Lefty Lucy, the band<br />

led by Lucy Kolen ’95 A&S, provided the music. The afternoon<br />

<strong>of</strong>fered many picture-perfect moments, including class photos,<br />

and gave alumni an opportunity to meet current <strong>Villanova</strong><br />

student-athletes and mug with the infamous Wildcat mascot.<br />

Past soccer greats could relive their glory days as they<br />

strode into the <strong>Villanova</strong> Stadium for the Men’s Soccer<br />

Alumni Game and Reunion on Saturday afternoon.<br />

In a very touching and meaningful ceremony, 100 <strong>Villanova</strong>n<br />
