Audio Grove (1997)
"This forest of vertical steel posts is
an interface through which light and
sound can be physically experienced
and controlled. Visitors touching the
posts can evoke a soundscape which
always results in a harmonic whole
whatever the conceivable
combination of interactions." (video)
Later work: On Air (2003)

dePictured (Bitwall 4) (2001)
"Up close they appear as an
abstract assembly of small
pieces. But using the gallery
lighting system the images of the
mens’ faces became visible from
a distance." (video)
Cheese (2003)
"...the piece creates a concert
of alert signals within an
ambience of forced
friendliness and irritating
melancholy telling that the
performance of sincerity is
hard work."
"On camera, six actresses each
try to hold a smile for as long as
they could, up to one and half
hours."
News Reader (2006)
"A transparent bit-map painting of
a moment frozen in time,
capturing four citizens reading
magazines during a bus ride."
Daisy (2008)
"A robotic arm randomly moves a
cargo ship propellor made of
fiberglass in the air. Videocameras
embedded in the base of the
sculpture capture the presence of
passers-by allowing Daisy to move
and face her viewers." (video)
Shhh...
“Over time, the sculpture will fill up
with the notes and memories of the
Walnut Creek community.”
"A total of 3,960 empty sketchbooks
in 12 shades of gray are placed in a
2-story tall bookshelf. The spines of
the books create the image of a
librarian asking for silence." (video)
