Growing Technology
Submitted by: Kasey Hodges, Student
Living with Cerebral Palsy
isn’t simple. But with technology,
one can do anything they
set their mind to.
Technology has made a
tremendous
impact on
my life. It
h a s
enabled me
to do several
activities
such as
talking
online with
friends and
family,
giving speeches, etc. I
currently have a communication
device made by the
Prentke Romich Company
called the Pathfinder. This is
basically my voice.
The Pathfinder
allows me to
do
things
the
listed
above plus assists in completing
my school work. This
device interfaces with a
typical computer so I can
complete my assignments
efficiently and in a timely
fashion.
Technology also has given
me multiple advantages
over the average person.
I’ve been afforded the
fantastic opportunity
of gaining knowledge
about the
use of technology
during every day
experiences.
Some people consider technology
as just wires and
gadgets, but to me, it’s a
connection to the world
around me.
