This year marks the 90th anniversary of the United Synagogue, founded in 1913 by Dr. Solomon Schechter. The United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism promotes the
role of the synagogue in Jewish life in order to motivate Conservative Jews to perform mitzvot encompassing ethical behavior, spirituality, Judaic learning, and ritual observance.
Combining an awareness of communal responsibility with a strong sense of commitment, the United Synagogue is a dynamic force within the Conservative Movement.
