Members of the Chapter attended the second annual <strong>Korean</strong>-<br />

American Day ceremonies at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church<br />

in Fort Lauderdale on January 5, 2008. About 40 members from<br />

Chapter 15, Chapter 17, LT RICHARD E. CRONAN, and guests<br />

were in attendance.<br />

Chapter President Frank Nicolazzo, Past Dept. President Don<br />

Cofsky, and Treasurer Paul Wurzer were determined to have the<br />

best turnout of members possible for the Annual Christmas<br />

Party, and to have as many guests as possible attend. Their<br />

efforts paid off, with around 70 people attending.<br />

The crowd included National 2nd Vice President James<br />

Ferris; National Rep. to the Canadian KWVA, Bill Burns; Dept.<br />

of NY President T. James Lewis; Dept. of NY Treasurer Dick<br />

Compo; President Sang Sim of the <strong>Korean</strong> American<br />

Community and Mrs. Byoung Baek, Past President of the<br />

Community, who recently joined the KWVA as an Associate<br />

Member.<br />

On Friday, December 21, 2007, members of our Chapter presented<br />

a check for $2,000 to the Department of <strong>Veterans</strong> Affairs<br />

Medical Center at Northport. The money is to be used in their<br />

“Buddy Bucks” program.<br />
