summary and pictures covering <strong>the</strong>ir visits<br />

in this last school year and wh<strong>at</strong> <strong>the</strong>y have<br />

done. They spoke to over 3500 students, 250<br />

teachers and guests and traveled 2267 miles.<br />

These guys are doing a gre<strong>at</strong> job in th<strong>at</strong><br />

area—is anyone here from this Chapter?<br />

Bottom line—I feel strongly th<strong>at</strong> we<br />

are making a difference in <strong>the</strong> schools and<br />

communities with <strong>the</strong> <strong>Tell</strong> <strong>America</strong> Programs<br />

th<strong>at</strong> are active around <strong>the</strong> country and it<br />

reflects very positively on <strong>the</strong> Korean War<br />

Veterans Associ<strong>at</strong>ion. I have been impressed<br />

with <strong>the</strong> enthusiasm and dedic<strong>at</strong>ion th<strong>at</strong> most<br />

of <strong>the</strong> veterans show when <strong>the</strong>y call to talk<br />

about wh<strong>at</strong> <strong>the</strong>y are doing. However, I think<br />

we can do a much better job if we can get<br />

<strong>the</strong> St<strong>at</strong>e Departments to support <strong>the</strong> program<br />

by having someone to promote <strong>the</strong> <strong>Tell</strong><br />

<strong>America</strong> Program on a more local basis. I<br />

would appreci<strong>at</strong>e hearing from <strong>the</strong> St<strong>at</strong>e<br />

Department Commanders about this proposal<br />

Thank you,<br />
