Administration Changes<br />
Several people have recently joined or been promoted within the law school administration.<br />
David L. Markell<br />
David E. Landau<br />
Steven M. Goldstein Professor David L.<br />
Markell is the new Associate Dean for<br />
Environmental Programs. Markell joined<br />
the faculty in 2002 and served as Associate<br />
Dean for Academic Affairs for the<br />
2007-2008 academic year. He is an expert<br />
in environmental law and administrative<br />
law. He has published five books and numerous<br />
articles and book chapters, and is<br />
widely recognized for his scholarly work<br />
relating to climate change, enforcement,<br />
North American environmental law and<br />
policy, and the design of government<br />
decision-making procedures.<br />
Assistant Professor David E. Landau<br />
is now the Associate Dean for<br />
International Programs. He writes<br />
about comparative constitutional jurisprudence<br />
and civil procedure. Before<br />
joining the <strong>Florida</strong> <strong>State</strong> <strong>Law</strong> faculty,<br />
Landau was a Climenko Fellow and<br />
lecturer on law at Harvard <strong>Law</strong> School<br />
and a presidential scholar at Harvard<br />
<strong>University</strong> in the Graduate School of<br />
Arts and Sciences.<br />
Nicole Scialabba<br />
Elizabeth Boyette<br />
The Placement Office has a new addition<br />
to its staff, Assistant Director<br />
Nicole Scialabba. She obtained both her<br />
undergraduate and J.D. degrees from<br />
Duquesne <strong>University</strong> in Pittsburgh<br />
and is admitted to the Pennsylvania<br />
Bar. While in law school, Scialabba<br />
was the Pro Bono program coordinator<br />
for her college’s Placement Office,<br />
and after law school she served as a<br />
staff attorney at Neighborhood Legal<br />
Services Association in Pittsburgh. She<br />
relocated to <strong>Florida</strong> in 2010, and joins<br />
the College of <strong>Law</strong> from the Office of<br />
the <strong>State</strong> Courts Administrator.<br />
Elizabeth Boyette has been promoted<br />
to the Director of Academic Programs.<br />
She will oversee the administration of<br />
LL.M. degree programs in American<br />
<strong>Law</strong> (for foreign lawyers) and Environmental<br />
<strong>Law</strong> & Policy. She will<br />
also oversee certificate programs in<br />
Environmental <strong>Law</strong>, International <strong>Law</strong><br />
and Business <strong>Law</strong> and will direct the<br />
foreign exchange program.<br />
Mark Seidenfeld<br />
Mark Seidenfeld, the Patricia A. Dore<br />
Professor of Administrative <strong>Law</strong>, will<br />
now serve as the Associate Dean for<br />
Research. Recognized as one of the<br />
country’s leading scholars on federal<br />
administrative law, he is the author<br />
of influential publications on how<br />
administrative law doctrine relates to<br />
institutional behavior and agency accountability.<br />
