Housing and Meal Plans<br />
Candidates for the Ph.D. degree are eligible to occupy <strong>Seminary</strong> accommodations<br />
during the first five years of their program. Candidates for the Th.M. degree ordinarily<br />
may occupy <strong>Seminary</strong> housing for one academic year only, based on availability,<br />
during which period they are expected to pursue a full-time program.<br />
Security Deposits<br />
Upon arrival, each dormitory resident shall be assessed a security/damage deposit<br />
of $150, and each apartment resident shall be assessed a security/damage deposit<br />
equal to one month’s rent. The security deposit shall be returned after the tenant<br />
has vacated and after satisfactory inspection of the premises.<br />
Dormitories (Single Students)<br />
Room and board (21-meal plan) .....................................$7,970 ($3,985 per semester)<br />
Room and board (15-meal plan) .....................................$7,380 ($3,690 per semester)<br />
Students living in the dormitories are required to be on one of the room and<br />
board plans stated above, no exceptions. Rooms in the <strong>Seminary</strong> dormitories are<br />
furnished with bedframe, XL-twin-size mattress, , chest of drawers, chairs, desk,<br />
mirror, and bookcase. Bed linens, pillow, blankets, and towels must be provided by<br />
the student.<br />
A single student on a regular program is expected to room in one of the <strong>Seminary</strong><br />
dormitories.<br />
A drawing for choice of rooms for current residents in the dormitories is held in<br />
late April or May, and remaining rooms are assigned to new students. Some single<br />
rooms ordinarily are available for incoming students with special needs.<br />
Dormitory accommodations are intended primarily for students who are enrolled<br />
full time; however, provision occasionally may be made on a space-available basis<br />
for persons registered for part-time studies.<br />
Dormitories are open for regular occupancy the Tuesday preceding the first day of<br />
classes for new students and the Wednesday preceding the first day of classes for<br />
returning students, and close at 10:00 a.m. on the Monday after Commencement.<br />
Dormitory occupancy will not be available during the summer months except for<br />
regularly enrolled summer students, based on availability.<br />
