Physiological functioning: the missing factor?
There may be behavioural consequences if the brains
requirements for essential nutrients are not met
Yet, dietary standards do not address behaviour; despite the
physiological importance of essential nutrients for normal
brain function
And: Social influences on behaviour will be apparent to
us while these physiological factors are liable to undercut our
senses and affect behaviour without our knowledge
These factors are largely ignored in criminal justice
Can these unseen factors help explain trends in social
behaviour or crimes that defy rational explanation?
