Manufacture of MAPs in Macedonia More than 100 larger or smaller companies trade with plants, mainly export. Only few companies manufacture plants in different products: - The largest company with sector for medicinal and aromatic plants (Botanicals) is Alkaloid AD Skopje. They produce herbal and medicinal teas and traditional herbal medicines such as tinctures and syrups, rarely creams and oils. Only few solid forms of herbal medicines are produced which means capsules filled with plant extracts (with imported origin). - There are several smaller factories for production of galenical medicinal preparations and natural cosmetics!!! Herbal medicinal products and herbal and food supplements are mainly imported from European countries, USA, China, etc.
