ii) Computer Renewal Program and other support for Faculty<br />
In the upcoming year we expect to be replacing a total of 14 existing computers<br />
funded through the Computer Replacement Program (CRP) for full-time faculty<br />
sponsored by Computing and Network Services. We also expect an increase in the<br />
<strong>Osgoode</strong> full-time faculty compliment. Based on our experience in this program to<br />
date, we foresee the faculty’s preference for laptops continue to rise with a<br />
forecasted ratio of 2:1 for desktop and laptop computers respectively for 2008-2009.<br />
iii) Computing Support for Staff and other Faculty users<br />
Recognizing the importance of <strong>Osgoode</strong> full-time staff’s contribution to its success,<br />
<strong>Osgoode</strong> will continue its commitment to provide full-time staff with new computers<br />
as warranties expire. This will ensure that staff are not impeded by inferior computing<br />
equipment. This commitment is also supplemented by a current 12 month pilot<br />
project, outsourcing printer maintenance, to maximize network printer performance,<br />
quality and minimize downtime. The distribution of new staff computers is listed in<br />
the following table.<br />
