Head Coach Amanda<br />

Burbridge-Liebermann<br />

begins her 4th season as<br />

head coach and brings a<br />

highly decorated coaching<br />

and playing career to Phoenix College. In Amanda’s<br />

first year at the helm of the Phoenix College<br />

Volleyball program, she led the team to a 19-11<br />

record with a second place finish in the Region.<br />

Prior to her position at Phoenix College, Amanda<br />

was the Head Coach at Desert Mountain High<br />

School in Scottsdale, Arizona. In her three years<br />

at Desert Mountain, Amanda went 87-43 while<br />

leading the program to Back to Back State Titles in<br />

2005 and 2006.<br />

2011 Coaching Staff<br />

As an outside hitter for Arizona State University,<br />

Amanda started all four years earning various<br />

honors and setting three school records. Following<br />

her stellar playing career at ASU, she went on to<br />

play professionally for Ponce, Puerto Rico. Amanda<br />

not only excelled on the court, but in the classroom<br />

as well, graduating Cum Laude in 3.5 year from<br />

Arizona State University with a Bachelors Degree in<br />

Sociology. She later returned to college to attain a<br />

Masters in Secondary Education.<br />

In 2010 Amanda became a member of the Arizona<br />

State Athletics Hall of Fame.<br />

Amanda’s coaching<br />

• Desert Sky Coach of the Year in 2006 and 2007<br />

• East Valley Tribune Coach of the Year in 2006<br />

• Six Year Head Coach with Arizona Volleyball<br />

High School in Phoenix, Arizona<br />

Mountain High School in Scottsdale, Arizona<br />
