Conference Background
The vision of the conference is 'To promote
innovative research for the development of
tomorrow's industry'.
The mission of the conference is 'To bring
innovative academics and industrial experts to a
common forum in order to facilitate constructive
dialogues based on theoretical concepts and
practical ideas in the field of Electrical, Electronics
and Information Engineering’.
The first and the second International Conference
on Industrial and Information Systems were held at
the Faculty of Engineering, University of
Peradeniya, Sri Lanka in 2006 and 2007
respectively. ICIIS became a biannual event from
2007. The third ICIIS was held at Indian Institute of
Technology, Kharagpur, India in 2008. In 2009, the
conference was again held at University of

Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. 5 ICIIS in 2010 was hosted
by the National Institute of Technology, Karnataka
Surathkal in India.
Conference Venue

Venue for the 6 IEEE ICIIS conference is Kandy.
Part of the conference would be held in a reputed
hotel within Kandy and the other part would be held
at the Faculty of Engineering, University of
Peradeniya. Kandy is a major tourist's attraction
especially during Kandy Esela Perahara period
which is to be held in August. A number of social
events would be organized to entertain the
participants during and after the conference.
