2. Number of characters in proposal<br />

1544 (1a: 1424 = (59 + 190 + 167 + 21 + 178 + 62 + 1 + 676 + 70)) + (1b: 120 = (23 + 12 + 1 + 71 + 13)). To<br />

give an estimate to put this into perspective, 1544 less 666 of the Two-Letter-Code characters is 878; 878 less<br />

the 674 characters asked for in N3583 is 204; 204 less the 67 Enclosed Alphanumerics asked for by Ireland in<br />

ballot comments on FPDAM 6 is 137, the real number of additions proposed by us (about a 20% increase on the<br />

674 asked for in N3583).<br />
