We meet near the memorial that reminds us <strong>of</strong> the <strong>New</strong> Zeal<strong>and</strong> Police <strong>of</strong>ficers, as well as traffic<br />
<strong>of</strong>ficers from past eras, whose lives were taken while carrying out their duties. We salute them<br />
today <strong>and</strong> we remember their loved ones who are still living.<br />

I call on Inspector Jone Yalimaiwai <strong>of</strong> the Fiji Police to read the names <strong>of</strong> those in Australia <strong>and</strong> the<br />
Isl<strong>and</strong>s <strong>of</strong> the South Pacific who were killed in the past year as the result <strong>of</strong> motor accidents while<br />
performing their duty.<br />
