SALE PREVIEW SCHEDULE 9:00 A.M SATURDAY MORNING IN THE COLISEUM In the Performance Demonstration, classes will run to simulate a show. The following classes will be offered during the Performance Demonstration: Class Procedure: 1.... Western Pleasure 1. Western Pleasure - show on the rail both directions, at a 2.... If an opening of that upset price is not received the horse shall be led out as unsold. • EXAMINE HORSES BEFORE BIDDING. Veterinary assistance is available on bidder’s request to Auctioneer. • Buyer has the right to have a LIMITED VETERINARY EXAMINATION WITHIN 12 HOURS OF THE START OF THE SESSION IN WHICH THE HORSE SELLS AND BEFORE THE HORSE LEAVES THE SALE GROUNDS. • REGISTRATION PAPERS will be mailed to AQHA for Quarter Horses and to Buyers for other breeds NOT EARLIER THAN 21 DAYS after the Sale for horses paid for by check. • A PAID RECEIPT OR RELEASE IS REQUIRED TO REMOVE ANY HORSE FROM THE SALE GROUNDS. • DO NOT REMOVE HIP NUMBERS FROM HORSES BEFORE LEAVING GROUNDS or you may be detained by Security for Verification. • ALL SALES OR TRANSACTIONS MADE ON THE SALE GROUNDS MUST BE REPORTED TO AND MADE THROUGH THE SALE OFFICE. • HYPP STATUS for IMPRESSIVE bred horses will be announced and appears in catalog, when known. The letter we begin with changes for each Sale, advancing 5 letters with each Sale. • The Raleigh Spring Sale begins with the letter “W”. • Some horses have been moved 5 - 10 spaces to avoid a single seller having 2 or more horses back to back. • Some large consignments have been placed so consignors can effectively present their horses and maintain the flow of the sale. • HOW LONG WILL THE SALE LAST? Our goal is to sell 22 to 25 horses per hour. A note about HYPP • Horses descended from the stallion, IMPRESSIVE #0767246 may possess the genetic defect for the condition HYPP (“Hyperkalemic Periodic Paralysis”). For horses that have tested positive and horses that have not been tested, AQHA registration certificates will display the following note: “This horse has an ancestor known to carry HYPP, designated under AQHA rules as a genetic defect. AQHA recommends testing to confirm presence or absence of this gene.” • HYPP DEFINITIONS • N/N - Negative for HYPP - Will not show symptoms or reproduce the positive gene for HYPP. • N/H or H/N - Positive (Heterozygous) for HYPP - May show symptoms or reproduce the positive gene for HYPP. • H/H - Positive (Homozygous) for HYPP - May show symptoms and will reproduce the positive gene for HYPP. • Not Tested or Not reported - The HYPP status is not known or has not been reported to PAS, Inc. The buyer assumes the risk that the horse could be Positive for HYPP. • In this Catalog where HYPP Status has been stated, verification has been given by the Consignor or by AQHA records. • Please Listen carefully for updates on horses who may have been listed in the catalog as Untested or Not Reported. The consignor is responsible for the correct information, if it is known. • For more information on HYPP, please ask for a brochure at the Sale Office or from AQHA.
