Applied Market Information LLC is pleased to announce the program for
the international conference POLYMER FOAM 2007, with presentations on
innovations in technology and applications. The conference will take place
over 2 days from 2-3 October 2007 at the Doubletree Hotel, Newark, NJ,
United States.
Foams are lightweight, low density products. They have many beneficial
properties that are exploited in different applications from sound and
thermal insulation in building panels, to impact absorption in vehicles,
sports accessories and packaging. Using foam not only cuts weight but
also cuts the amount of material required. The foaming process has to be
well controlled to get the right cell size and shape. Blowing agents have
been changing with environmental legislation and this too can affect the
foaming process. Each polymer has specific processing conditions and
efficient equipment can cut cycle times and energy usage, and reduce
production scrap.
Biodegradable and nano- are the current hot topics. There are
presentations this year on foaming both kinds of material.
POLYMER FOAM 2007 aims to provide an international forum for the foam
manufacturing industry. It is a place to meet and discuss new production
methods, products, market trends and applications of cellular plastics. The
conference gives an excellent opportunity to debate the latest
developments and to network with top professionals in the industry.
