39 Sculpture in the Streets<br />
An annual walking sculpture tour, presented by the <strong>Downtown</strong> <strong>Albany</strong><br />
<strong>Business</strong> <strong>Improvement</strong> <strong>District</strong>, celebrates international and local<br />
sculptures by engaging and educating the public through art while<br />
highlighting our City’s streetscapes. The 2012 – 2013 Sculpture in the<br />
Street’s exhibit, Stand in the Sole of <strong>Albany</strong>, celebrates <strong>Albany</strong>’s Dutch<br />
heritage and the artistic vision of regional artists illustrated on large clogs<br />
placed throughout <strong>Downtown</strong>. Tour maps can be found at<br />

1st Friday <strong>Albany</strong><br />
Promoting the visual and performing arts throughout galleries, museums<br />
and various venues in <strong>Albany</strong>, 1st Friday is a fun way to explore the<br />
Capital City. Every first Friday of the month from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM.<br />

10 Farmer’s Market<br />
The Farmer’s Market is held at Maiden Lane Park in downtown <strong>Albany</strong><br />
every Thursday throughout the summer from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.<br />
Expect to see baked goods, plant seedlings, fresh fruits and vegetables -<br />
and even some funky sauces and condiments. Rain or shine.<br />

Alive @ 5<br />
For over 23 years, Alive @ 5 has kept downtown <strong>Albany</strong>’s spirits high<br />
after work on Thursdays throughout the summer. The stage comes alive<br />
with music from national, regional and local artists; each night plays host<br />
to a different genre of music. Every Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM<br />
June 7 through August 9, 2012.<br />

<strong>Albany</strong> Center Gallery (ACG) exhibits and promotes contemporary visual<br />

12 PM -5 PM.<br />

Open seven days a week, the <strong>Albany</strong> Heritage Area Visitors Center<br />

400 yr history of <strong>Albany</strong> at the exhibit gallery. Also onsite a gift shop and<br />

29 Henry Hudson Planetarium<br />
Henry Hudson Planetarium, an official NASA space place, is located in<br />
the <strong>Albany</strong> Heritage Area Visitors Center (AHAVC) hosting a wide variety<br />
