committee and the program committee.<br />
10. First Symposium <strong>of</strong> the Wildlife Section <strong>of</strong> the Society <strong>of</strong> Wetland Scientists: Connections<br />
Among Wetlands, Wildlife, and Agriculture. 24 June, 2009, Madison, Wisconsin. I initiated<br />
this Section within the Society <strong>of</strong> Wetland Scientists and was a co-organizer <strong>of</strong> its first<br />
Symposia.<br />
9. Chenier Plain Symposium. 8-9 January, 2009, Lake Charles, Louisiana. This meeting was<br />
designed to mimic the success <strong>of</strong> a similar meeting the previous year but to focus on the<br />
Chenier Plain <strong>of</strong> Louisiana and southeast Texas. I helped plan the technical program.<br />
8. Ecosystem Functions and the Dynamic Atchafalaya River from the Old River Control<br />
Structure to the Continental Shelf. 10-11 January, 2008, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I initiated<br />
this meeting, solicited a co-sponsor (Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana) and worked with<br />
a small committee to schedule and advertise the meeting. I arranged the technical program<br />
and organized a special section <strong>of</strong> Hydrobiologia based on the meeting..<br />
7. Annual Fall Meeting <strong>of</strong> the South Central Chapter <strong>of</strong> the Society <strong>of</strong> Wetland Scientists,<br />
October, 2006, Vicksburg, Mississippi. As President, I worked with the local host to arrange<br />
to schedule and advertise the meeting. I also arranged the technical program.<br />
6. Restoring Greenspace. 17-18 May, 2005. New Orleans, Louisiana Wildlife Habitat Council.<br />
I was invited to organize and lead a breakout session on restoring wetlands in coastal areas.<br />
5. Coastal Restoration Enhancement through Science and Technology (CREST), July 2003.<br />
Thibodaux, Louisiana. Duties: As member <strong>of</strong> the CREST Technical Board, I helped plan the<br />
technical agenda and select speakers.<br />

As a member <strong>of</strong> the Executive Board <strong>of</strong> the host chapter, I assisted with funding, the social,<br />
