The unit achieved high overall compliance in this st<strong>and</strong>ard <strong>and</strong> staff are<br />
commended for achieving full compliance in four sections. Issues<br />
identified were in relation to practice <strong>and</strong> knowledge. The nursing care<br />
plan of a patient isolated with a known infection needed more detail for<br />
actions taken, COSHH data sheets on Difficil-S were not available for<br />
nursing staff to reference <strong>and</strong> nursing staff were not aware of the<br />
NPSA colour coding system.<br />
