H. Visual Review <strong>of</strong> <strong>Facility</strong>:<br />
Despite facility being more than 40 years old, it is in fair condition. It was observed that the floors<br />
had been resurfaced and that the physical plant appeared cleaner than on previous inspections.<br />
I. Review <strong>of</strong> Confinement Conditions:<br />
There is no confinement area; a “restraint chair” is available for use as a last resort to control a<br />
volatile minor. Staff are able to defuse most volatile situations.<br />

Title: Deputy Chief Probation Officer; Probation Director<br />
How <strong>of</strong>ten are policies and procedures reviewed for accuracy and consistency with daily practices?<br />
Every incident that occurs within the facility is reviewed by the Supervisor and the Director<br />
to ensure practice and policy are in line with one another. Policies and Procedures are<br />
reviewed quarterly and any need for changes is made at these meetings.<br />
