CAREER SERVICES AT SENECA
Career Services provides a full range of job search and employment
services and resources for all Seneca students seeking full-time,
part-time and seasonal employment opportunities. Career Services
hosts employment-related events and workshops, including job fairs,
employer information sessions and on-sight visits from employers.
Career co-ordinators offer individual assistance to students in their
graduating semester. As well, drop by the Career Services Centre
at your campus to take advantage of our resume critiquing services
(Room B2100 at Newnham; room 209 at King; room 1163 at Seneca@

COUNSELLING AND DISABILITY SERVICES
Seneca’s qualified, professional counsellors help students deal with
everything from career planning and educational direction to personal
counselling. All students have access to confidential consultation. If
you have a learning disability, visual, hearing, mobility, physical or psychiatric
impairment, Counselling and Disability Services has qualified
counsellors, assistive technologists, learning strategists and psychologists.

DEGREE AND CREDIT TRANSFER OFFICE
The Degree and Credit Transfer Office at Seneca will assist you with
your decision to continue your education after Seneca. We will help
you research your options, understand the credit transfer agreements
that Seneca has with other post-secondary institutions, both in Canada
and abroad, and if you need it, we will help you with your application.

FIRST YEAR EXPERIENCE
The first year at college can be quite challenging. At Seneca we make
it a priority to ease your transition to college life and make your first
year a success. We strongly recommend that you attend orientation
sessions that are planned for each incoming class. You will have the
opportunity to meet other students, learn some important information
to help you in your first year and interact with staff and faculty. There
are lots of support services and programs for our students that are
available year-round as well.

FITNESS CENTRE
Newnham Campus - Students, staff and community members are
provided with the finest in fitness programming. Members can use the
centre six days per week and take advantage of the strength and circuit
training equipment, treadmills, stairmasters, recumbent and upright
bikes, rowers, elliptical crosstrainers and free weights. Regularly scheduled
fitness classes come with your membership. Fitness evaluations
by our certified staff and individualized fitness programs are offered as
fee for service options. Registrations are taken throughout each semester,
so drop by the centre anytime and begin your semester of fitness

Markham, King and Seneca@York - The Fitness Centres at
Markham, King and Seneca@York Campuses are student facilities
funded by the Student Athletic Association and run on a cost-recovery/program
fee basis. The centres offer a variety of conditioning
equipment including free weights, circuit training, stairmasters, aerobics,
step aerobics and other classes. Drop by to begin your fitness
training.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS AT SENECA
Our International Student Centre provides a wide variety of services
and programs including The Homestay Program; orientations
to Seneca, Toronto and Canada; academic counselling; immigration
information; peer tutoring; special activities, trips and social events.

International students currently studying in Canada should remember
to apply for or renew their Study Permit. You must submit a copy of
this document to the International Admissions Office.

Limited parking is available at all campuses for a daily fee. Seneca
College monitors Newnham, Markham and King. The York Parking
Authority monitors Seneca@York. For Seneca@York parking only,
please direct inquiries to 416-736-5335. Semester Permits are
available at any Seneca Bookstore or at the Parking Office at
Newnham. Permits are not transferable and are valid on all Seneca
College monitored parking lots. Daily Cash or Credit Card parking is
available on all Seneca campuses.

STUDENT INVOLVEMENT AT SENECA
Extracurricular activities at Seneca complement your classroom
experience. Activities include new student orientations, Frosh Week
activities, International Days, Black History Month activities, trips to
Niagara Falls, the Buzz Newspaper, Student Club activities, and the
radio station at the Seneca@York Campus. At Seneca, student leaders
play an important role representing all Seneca students. Leadership
opportunities are available within the Student Government, the SMILE
