Why do some cars have 3 digit numbers?
These are the ‘South Australian Rally Championship’ cars.
The first number denotes class and the second two are either selected by the
competitor or allocated.
Numbers starting with ‘1’ denote P1, ‘2’ denotes P2, ‘8’ denotes Classic, etc.
Cars that won their class last year may carry the class number followed by 01.
Registered SARC drivers will retain the same number all season.
